Here is my card to honor Toy this week as our QFTD110 - my card was a CASE of her Cala Lily right here though I know it looks NOTHING like her flowery card, although it gave me lots of inspiration. This week we kicked off the campaign to bring back Da Man - we are hoping to convince SU to re release the Wild Wild West set, so we, who came in too late to get him have a chance to enjoy him.
This is also for the TSC0427 this week to do a card with Faux Leather on it = of course my card has the man - he is all about manly leather - chaps, vest, boots, gloves - what a hunk of man!
I did the faux leather technique with masking tape found in the resources and added a belt made with embossed and sponged cardstock, and a faux metal BUCKLE I made by embossing with copper EP several times over cardstock I cut out to make the buckle -
(**Yeah, Buckle Man, I used my exacto knife**)
I punched some pine and leaf branches, cut the Man out with nesties, sponged lightly, and added some brads - very masculine!! Added a lasso rope made with twine, and some barbed wire twill to dress it up. You can tell I am in MAN MODE this week. Sure hope SU will re-release that set again soon!! HERE is where to go to let SU know you support this set being released again!! Email them, write them, phone, PLEAD with them - we need our MAN back!! Thanks for your support!!!

Oh I love what you did with this! I love that dp. Its awesome and I like all the sponging on the Man. Great details. I have a copper buckle just like what you made! One of those things I bought sometime because I liked it and put it in my stash. I like the rope you made and the brads on the sb die. Great card Sistah!

I'ved started on my TO DO list given by Cindy to assist in bringing back Da Man - so all of us ladies that drool over him - can have our very own set. I have even watched on e-bay to get a set - but haven't caught up with one or I would have it.
Your card is awesome and cool Greenie. I love any card with his image on it - my DH just rolls his eyes. Although he is my very own personal cowboy. During his early Army years, he did rodeo for the Army and rode the bulls and has his own championship buckle.

Wow Sue! Love the faux leather and that buckle! Fabbo! I need to take some lessons from you on masculine cards... I am sorely lacking in that department! Blessings....
